The work “The Hug” is connected with the most fundamental human need – to be touched, hugged and embraced. The artist was inspired by an invention of autistic vet, Temple Grandin. Studying animals, the scholar noticed that they surprisingly positively react to the “hug box”. Cows did not show fear and felt rather safe. Temple Grandin constructed a similar piece of equipment proving its healing influence on people with neurological problems. This work may be operated by using a switch and you may then observe the reactions of your own body.
